Sample Work

Beam Bending Lab

The beam bending lab in my Fundamentals of Engineering class was an experience that highlighted my proficiency in data manipulation and analysis. I was able to collect and analyze data effectively, which enabled me to create detailed graphs that clearly illustrated the relationship between the deflection and material properties of each beam. This experience not only reinforced my understanding of engineering principles but also enhanced my ability to present complex data in a comprehensible manner.

PTK Marketing Presentation

Phi Theta Kappa is an honors society for community colleges, and through this organization, I had the opportunity to present in front of the president as part of the marketing team. Our project focused on improving the user experience while navigating the Columbus State Community College website. In this role, I was responsible for analyzing data collected from a pool of 125 students and creating graphics for the presentation. This project not only showcased my analytical skills but also solidified my leadership and public speaking abilities.

Speed Lab

The speed lab was a project for my Fundamentals of Engineering class, where we collected data on cars accelerating on E Spring St to evaluate whether the current speed limit of 25 mph was effective or needed adjustment. Throughout this project, I analyzed the data to determine the optimal speed limit for vehicles driving through that area. Additionally, I was able to reflect on my findings by writing a mock email that included the relevant information and graphs illustrating the relative and cumulative frequency of the vehicles. This experience not only honed my analytical skills but also improved my ability to communicate complex data effectively.
